Sorcha F.

Lisburn, Northern Ireland

Group of six people posing with a woman on a horse at the 2024 World Championship Show. The woman on the horse is wearing a cowboy hat, white shirt, and green pants. One woman is holding a large ribbon, and there is a sign indicating she is the Reserve Youth World Games Champion. The background features the show logo and flower arrangements.

“Crysta began coaching my daughter 18 months ago. In that time, the child (now 17) has grown from complete beginner to Reserve Champion in two classes at the recent Youth World Games in Texas, USA.

Crysta coaches with an enthusiasm and sensitivity that I have found to be unmatched in Ireland.

Finding ourselves so impressed by Crysta’s skill as a coach, we asked her to begin training our horses here. Each horse has a very different background and job. Many are showjumpers of varying ages and experience.

Using ‘western’ techniques, Crysta has brought a level of expertise and patience to this task that I have rarely encountered. Our showjumpers responded amazingly well to her approach, becoming softer and losing all tension under saddle. They are sounder and more settled in general.

I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Crysta as a coach and/or horse trainer. The improvement I have observed in my daughter’s riding as well as in our horses is remarkable. The focus on correctness, self carriage, and rider equitation is a winning combination regardless of the equestrian discipline in which you compete.”

A woman dressed in a teal western shirt with glittery details, black pants with a large belt buckle, wearing a black cowboy hat, stands next to a brown and white paint horse with a decorative bridle. The woman’s hand gently rests on the horse's nose against a black background.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with Crysta, a dedicated and talented horse whisperer, for the past seven years. Crysta's passion for what she does is evident in every training session. Her deep knowledge of western all-around events has been invaluable to me, especially in western pleasure, trail, and horsemanship.

Crysta's teaching methods are not only constructive but also incredibly clear and eloquent. She has a unique ability to correct form and guide you to feel as if you are truly one with the horse. One of the most remarkable aspects of Crysta's approach is her calm presence, which the horses absolutely love. They gain her trust immediately, allowing for a more effective and harmonious training experience.

Her guidance has significantly improved my skills and confidence. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, passionate, and articulate horse trainer who can connect deeply with both you and your horse, I highly recommend Crysta.
