Ride the pattern

clinic

A chance to learn and practice the patterns just ahead of Stock Horse Ireland E-Show with entries closing the 17th of August

What will we cover?

Ranch Riding

We will demonstrate and talk through what makes a correct Ranch Riding pattern then have participants and their horses try their hand at the pattern while getting feedback and tips from Crysta Brown. Western tack is recommended but not required. This is a learning opportunity so come as you are! No previous Ranch Riding experience required.

Western horsemanship

Western horsemanship is judged on the rider’s ability. Crysta will demonstrate and talk through what your judge is looking for in the pattern provided by Stock Horse Ireland for the upcoming show. Then riders will step in and ride the pattern themselves getting feedback on how to improve. We can help you film your e-show entry if time allows. Western tack recommened, not required.

Showmanship

Showmanship is an in-hand pattern class judged on the teamwork and accuracy of horse and exhibitor. Crysta will demonstrate and talk through what your judge is looking for in the pattern provided by Stock Horse Ireland for the upcoming show. Then riders will step in and ride the pattern themselves getting feedback on how to improve. We can help you film your e-show entry if time allows.

English Equitation

English Equitation is the english version of Western Horsemanship, also judged on the rider’s ability and posture. Crysta will demonstrate and talk through what your judge is looking for in the pattern provided by Stock Horse Ireland for the upcoming show. Then riders will step in and ride the pattern themselves getting feedback on how to improve. We can help you film your e-show entry if time allows.
